OKR Training & Implementation
OKR is a tool for focus and alignment, not a reporting form. My job is to fit it to the structure, meetings, and decision habits your organization already has.
Context
When goals are written at the start of a period but play no part in day-to-day decisions, team priorities drift apart and progress only becomes visible when the period ends.
What I do
- Assessing current goal-setting practice and readiness for OKR
- Designing the cycle: levels, cadence, roles, and review meetings
- Training managers and teams, and supporting the first OKR drafts
- Supporting periodic check-ins and refining the process
How I usually approach it
01
Understand the current state
Talk with managers, review existing goals and reports, and find where alignment breaks down.
02
Design to fit
Decide at which levels, on what cadence, and alongside which existing meetings OKR will run — the simplest design that works.
03
Write with the teams
Hands-on workshops to write objectives and measurable key results, with attention to the difference between outcomes and activities.
04
Learn from the first cycle
Review the first cycle and adjust the design before extending it to other parts of the organization.
Potential deliverables
- An OKR guide tailored to the organization
- First-cycle OKRs at the agreed levels
- A review-meeting calendar and templates
- Workshop materials
The deliverables of each engagement are agreed at the start, based on the organization's needs.
